Common faults and Countermeasures of bucket elevator

1. Clogging

The tail casing is filled with materials, which makes the belt slip or can not run.

reason:

1) Early feeding and late starting of hoist;

2) The belt tension is insufficient and slipping, and the belt is loose and tight enough;

3) The feeding quantity is too large;

4) There are large pieces of material falling into the frame, which makes the hopper stuck

5) Too much return material and blocking.

Methods to prevent blockage of hoist:

1) Strictly follow the start-up and stop procedures;

2) Adjust the tension device to ensure the necessary tension of the traction belt;

3) The feeding rate of the hoist is moderate and stable.



2. Return material

Material not leaving the hopper or leaving the hopper but not entering the discharge tube during unloading. If the elevator returns too much, the conveying efficiency will be reduced and the base will be blocked.

Material return reason:

1) The movement speed of the hopper is not appropriate or does not match with the discharging mode, such as too high when discharging by centrifugal. When unloading by gravity, the velocity is too low and the unloading is too late, falling into the base;

2) The shell shape is unreasonable, or does not match with the unloading mode;

3) The outlet is blocked;

4) The distance between buckets is not suitable;

5) The clearance between the discharge baffle and the backhaul bucket of the elevator is large, and the discharge baffle is seriously worn, and part of it returns to the elevator during unloading.

 Bucket elevator

resolvent:

1) Adjust the speed of hoist and change the form of dustpan;

2) Replace the head casing;

3) Clean the outlet to make it smooth;

4) Readjust the distance between the dustbins;

5) Adjust the height of discharge baffle or replace it.


3. Belt deviation

Causes of deviation:

1) The middle of head wheel or bottom wheel is not on horizontal line;

2) Belt joint is not correct;

3) In the process of belt running, the wear degree of both sides is different, resulting in the inconsistent tightness of both sides;

4) The rubber of the head wheel was worn unevenly;

5) The head axle is not on the horizontal line;

6) The head and tail wheels are no longer on the same parallel line.

resolvent:

1) Correct the perpendicularity of the scraper and adjust the intermediate degree of the head and tail wheels;

2) Re connect the belt;

3) Check the feeding mode;

4) Replace the head wheel rubber;

5) Adjust the level of the head wheel and the height of the bearing seat;

6) Re calibrate the hoist casing to determine whether the hoist is vertical, and adjust the tail wheel after adjusting the level of the head wheel.
