1、 Structure and working principle of bucket elevator

Bucket elevator is a kind of widely used mechanical conveying equipment. Its working principle is that the traction belt is around the head wheel and the bottom wheel. The dustpan is fixed on the traction belt according to a certain distance. The shell seals the bucket and the traction belt. The material enters the moving hopper from the base and lifts along the barrel. The material at the head is thrown out by the hopper and discharged out of the machine through the discharge pipe.

2、 Features of bucket elevator

① Vertical transportation, compact structure, small footprint and simple;

③ Both the height and the conveying capacity are large;

④ The sensitivity of overload is high, the bucket and traction parts are vulnerable, and they are not suitable for conveying large pieces of materials, so they must be evenly fed, otherwise they are easy to be blocked.


3、 Main components of bucket elevator

Traction parts, dustpan, machine head, barrel and base;

1. Towing parts

There are two kinds of traction parts: adhesive tape and chain.

Features: self weight, low transportation speed (0,5-1m / s, Vmax = 1,5), high price, impact vibration and noise during operation. However, it has high strength, especially suitable for conveying materials with high temperature, moisture, sticky and high oil content.

2. Dustpan

The dustpan has steel plate punching and welding; plastic bucket; nylon bucket


3. Fixing and spacing of dustpan

(1) fixing the dustpan on the belt: it is required that the operation is simple, firm and easy to disassemble. The strength of the traction parts should not be reduced much, and special countersunk screws should be used.

(2) bucket spacing: it determines the density of the bucket on the traction parts, which is related to the conveying capacity of the bucket elevator. If the bucket spacing is small, the conveying capacity is large, but too small may affect the unloading. Generally, take 2, 5-3, 5 times of the bucket depth, about 200-400mm.


4. Nose

The head is composed of head wheel, head shell, discharge port and transmission device. The head axle of the hoist will be installed with a check device to prevent material blocking due to reverse rotation of the equipment during operation.


5. Barrel

(1) shape: the middle part of the casing, with single tube type (for low-speed bucket elevator) and double tube type (for high-speed, dusty working environment).

(2) barrel size: ensure that the hopper does not collide during operation.

(3) observation window and access hole.


6. Base

(1) it is composed of frame shell, bottom wheel, tensioning device, feeding hopper, running deviation and speed measuring induction device. Bottom wheel: D bottom ≤ D head, reduce loading resistance

(2) frame shell: the height of the frame is determined according to the stroke of the tensioning device. The bottom wheel shall not be exposed to the upper surface of the frame when it is at a higher position, and the hopper and the bottom surface of the frame shall be kept 30-40mm at a lower position.

3. Install the plug-in plate on the side to clean up the accumulated material in the frame.
